Founded in 2006 in Auckland Grinding Gear Games has made Path of Exile a free-to-play action role-playing video game financed by ethical micro-transactions.


Ninja Kiwi is a mobile and online video game developer founded in Auckland, New Zealand, in 2006 by brothers Chris and Stephen Harris.

Their most well-known titles are the Bloons Tower Defense games.

Dinosaur Polo Club is an indie game development studio, based in beautiful Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand. They have developed Mini Metro and Mini Motorways.

Dean "Rocket" Hall 

Born in Oamaru the creator of the original ARMA Day Z mod started his game design career after time with the NZ Army. He went on to lead the team behind the stand alone Day Z game. He has now founded his own game studio Rocketwerkz.

Chris Butcher 

New Zealander Chris Butcher completed his first degree in math and computer science when he was 15. While studying his PhD in computer graphics he saw an ad for a job at Bungie. He is currently the Technical Director at Bungie working on Halo 3 and Destiny.
