We are going to create a vector graphic that be used on a Card that is A6 in size. As it will be printed it MUST be CMYK.
Open Inkscape and go to File > Document Properties
Change Custom Size to 105mm W x 148mm H
Make sure you check the Show page Border'
Make sure you save the file.

If you lose your canvas or are Zoomed in too far you can get back to the whole canvas by using shortcut key 5
If you select the Zoom Tool by using the shortcut key Z there are more options and you will see these options at the top.

Pick a theme for your graphic - birthday, Christmas, Thanks, General. BHS gives cards to people & businesses for a number of occasions.
We have a colour palette we would like you to use that reflects BHS. Whether you use some or all of the colours is up to you. As well as these colours feel free to use other colours to suit your theme, i.e. red if it's Christmas themed.

You should really do a quick sketch using pencil and paper of your idea, what sort of graphics, where are they being placed, any text - font, size, placement

By now you should have a range of skills using Inkscape. Using these skills get creating.
Remember to use layers to help manage all of the components
To add the colour palette above (insert instructions)

Once you are happy you need to save the files in the appropriate format.
Firstly save the inkscape file (should have been doing this along the way)
Then you need to Export and Inkscape is set up as PNG. For this example we are going to export the Page.
