Ross Grange No. 305

This Grange was organized in March 1895 at Ross Mills.

The meeting hall, a two story building which was also used as a depot, grocery store, post office and dance hall. The building was rented for $25/year from Emory Ross. Dues were $5/year for men and $2/year for women. Some of the early meetings were organized to buy groceries, dry goods to be resold to grange members at a discount. December 1877 – purchased a site to build a new building from H. K. Sweet – one mile north of Levant. It was the first grange in the county to own its hall. The first meeting in the new hall held January 4, 1897.

The lot/building were sold and the group moved to Falconer. January 1, 1920 – December 22, 1934 meetings were held in the Odd Fellows Hall in Falconer. From December 1934 to April 1936, the group met at A. J. Wassink’s hall, Levant.
