Lombard Grange No. 714

This Grange was organized December 9,890 in the old Universalist church in Westfield, two miles west of the present Lombard Grange Hall. On December 9, 1893, the first grange hall was dedicated, located across the road from the original hall. The hall was sold as the membership was small, meetings held in the homes of members. By 1905, membership had increased and present site was purchased – had an old building remodeled – comfortable but small.

On July 4, 1914 stakes were set for the new hall. The first meeting in the new hall was held on June 19, 1915.

The grange was known for always contributing to the life of the community and sponsored the July 4th picnic every year
