Fire at the Pavilion

Sadly, on 2 February 2021, there was a serious fire at the Pavilion in Parc Cinquantinaire and it looks like the property is out of action for the foreseeable future.

Over the last three years, we have been using the Pavillion in Parc Cinquantinaire to hold our meetings for beavers and cubs. The building is usually used as a venue for seniors' activities and we've really appreciated being able to use it as well.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, not much of our materials were in the building, although we have lost some flags, uniforms and arts & crafts materials. Luckily, ACE School in Auderghem, where we hold our Tongalu Scouts meetings has stepped in and we will be able to use their premises as an alternative venue.

We really hope that the seniors will soon have access to the facilities again, and we are looking into ways in which the scouts can help them in that.
