I've lost my key card/ I am locked out

If you lose your key, we can let you have a new card at the Accommodation Bureau

If you lose it outside of office hours, there are spares located at Clive Booth Student Village reception (John Garne Way, off Marston Road- about 15 mins walk). The staff there should be able to lend you one temporarily and it is staffed out of hours by wardens. There is a charge for replacement keys, so please be careful.

Can I have guests to stay?

It is ok to have a guest for the occasional night (our Hall Rules say for no more than 3 nights in a week- please check for more details), but please be aware that you are responsible for their behaviour and it can cause friction with flatmates if you do this too regularly.

TV Licensing

The stance of TV Licensing is that students should hold a license, and are not covered by a license held elsewhere.

Here is a link to their website, where you can assess whether you need a license and buy one if necessary. Note that you can claim a partial refund if you are not at the property for a full year.

Insurance cover

All students who live in halls are provided with block contents insurance covering their time in halls. This is provided by Cover4Insurance and more information can be found on their website. This cover can be extended if required.

Car parking

Oxford City Council's rules for planning permission requirements for building student accommodation requires an undertaking that any residents do not bring a car to Oxford. There is therefore no parking at the accommodation, and we are expected to take disciplinary action where we find residents parking in the area.

Please do not bring your car to the accommodation.
