For out of hours emergencies regarding maintenance, call our out of hours maintenance officer on 0776 806 1265.

For non-emergencies

Dial 101 to contact the police non-emergency line.

Dial 111 for health advice (or contact your doctor during working hours)

Brookes Union Advice

Brookes Union Advice provides advice and assistance on a whole range of issues.

You can talk about:

  • University advice (eg mitigating circumstances; appeals; complaints)

  • Housing advice

  • Financial advice (eg student finance, problems with loans or grants; debt and budgeting worries; banking services and tax issues)

  • General advice (eg welfare benefits, employment problems, consumer issues)

Counselling

Counselling is available to all enrolled Brookes students. You can tell a counsellor about anything that’s bothering you, however large or small you think the problem is, and whether it is related to your studies or your personal life. The Counselling Service also runs a number of interesting workshops throughout the year to support your psychological wellbeing at university.
