Perhaps more than any other factor, tenants will judge the service they receive on the quality of the maintenance service. This not only means responding quickly and effectively to maintenance issues when they are reported (reactive maintenance), but taking a proactive approach to maintain a property and avoid problems. The best maintenance is often preventative.
We encourage our landlords not to rely on waiting for tenants to raise issues (they can often be surprisingly reticent), but to seek out and avoid issues whenever they can.
