Life Orientation in the Further Education and Training (FET) phase is a critical subject that equips learners with essential life skills, knowledge, and values needed for personal growth, social development, and future career success. This subject covers a wide range of topics, including physical education, career guidance, social responsibility, environmental awareness, and health education.
The FET phase of Life Orientation focuses on preparing learners to face the challenges of adulthood and the world beyond school. It aims to develop well-rounded individuals who are confident, responsible, and capable of making informed decisions. Through engaging lessons and practical activities, learners explore their identities, understand the importance of good physical and mental health, and cultivate a sense of community and citizenship.
By the end of the FET phase, learners should have a strong foundation in critical thinking, problem-solving, and ethical reasoning. These skills are essential not only for their academic success but also for navigating the complexities of the modern world and contributing positively to society.
