These pieces all show the subject experiencing a moment of self reflection. I have been working a lot with mirrors and broken glass to portray the idea of a broken subject struggling with battles we can’t see. My main idea behind my works is that over time, society changes us to see ourselves in a harsh way and see a broken reflection of ourselves. This is demonstrated through the emotions in the pictures as the subjects struggle with the person they see in the mirror.
