As a member of Bonneville Labs, there are some Environmental Health and Safety requirements that all companies must meet to operate within Federal, State and Local regulations. These regulations are here to protect workers, the general public, and the environment around us.
We have made every effort to make this process as efficient as possible for your company by providing the resources to meet these regulatory requirements.
Here is a list of the basic Environmental Health and Safety requirements that every company must meet:
Every company, large or small, is required to have permits to ensure that they are operating in a safe and responsible manner with their employees, the public, and the environment. The permit requirements are based on the hazards your companies work with.
Bonneville Labs requires all member companies to have or be in the process of getting all permits for their company within 30 days of move-in to their space.
In order to find out which permit is required for your company, please check the EH&S permits page for more details.
Like permits to operate, companies are required to have a set of plans to ensure that their employees know what to do when they are injured on the job, how to safely handle chemicals and potentially infectious materials, etc.
Bonneville Labs has developed plan templates that cover the most basic functions of a Biotechnology laboratory. It is the responsibility of each member company to customize and implement these plans.
Training is an integral part of a company’s Environmental Health and Safety Program. It covers the fundamentals of knowledge that every employee needs to know in order to perform their job safely and within regulations.
Bonneville Labs has created a series of basic online EHS training for all member companies. The indicated training modules are required for everyone who works in the lab or office. These trainings are only applicable to working at Bonneville Labs. However, it is still the company’s responsibility to train their own employees on job specific hazards.
Incident Report Form: If you experience an Environmental Health and Safety incident at the lab, please fill out this form as soon as possible to report the incident to Bonneville Labs EH&S.
If you have any questions, please feel free to send an email to ehs@bonnevillelabs.com, or contact your Site Operations Lead.
New Member Company Employees: As a new employee of a Bonneville Labs Member Company you will need to complete some basic training in order to perform your job safely and within regulations.
Safety Meeting Notes & Records: To keep member companies up to date on Environmental Health & Safety requirements and any changes, Bonneville Labs has established a Quarterly Safety Meeting process. Safety Meeting Notes & Records can be found here, for your review.
Thank you for doing your part to keep Bonneville Labs a safe and healthy coworking environment!
