Influence of Technology

Ministry of Education gives us a summery on the TKI website why we have to include Technology in education.

Whāinga - Objectives

The aim is to learn practical skills through making and develop models, products, and systems. Furthermore it is important to also learn about technology as a field of human activity, experiencing and/or exploring historical and contemporary examples of technology.

Technological areas include structural, control, food, and information and communications technology and biotechnology. Relevant contexts can be as varied as computer game software, food products, worm farming, security systems, costumes and stage props, signage, and taonga.

The learning area comprises three strands: Technological Practice, Technological Knowledge, and Nature of Technology.

Mahere Hohenga - Action Plan

Select a technological product and discuss how the product changed over its lifespan. You need to discuss what had an influence on the changes and the impact it had on humans. Your timeline should start from when the product was first invented until the present.

Make a presentation with Google Slides and after that create a video with Screencastify.

Taunaki - Evidence

Make a presentation and remember to include a title and a biography. Just use bullet points and include pictural evidence of your findings. The evidence should be created in your Wood folder inside your Drive
