August 19-23

On the Menu this week!

August 19-23: This week we began some math and social studies in my room!! We also took a wonderful and impactful field trip to the Michiana Events Center where we made and packaged meals for children in Guatemala through Feed My Starving Children. We had our first SALT bible time as well! We took a not so fun course diagnostic that is going to show me where your students are starting out the year vs how much math they have learned at the end of the year! We then moved into our math workbooks and started looking at coin values and how to interpret different problems and the fractional values! We jumped into social studies with learning about the Boston Tea Party and watched some Libertys Kids videos! I am really enjoying getting to know each of your students better and I already know this is going to be a great year!!
