What to do IF your upload Fails

If this is your first year at Beehive, you MUST do this before you can upload your video.

IF Uploading from iMovie fails,

1-- Save your video to Photos and try to upload it from there. The upload button in iMovie (rectangle with an up arrow through it) has an option to "save video". Use this to save your video.

2-- Open Photos.

Find the video, touch the upload button again and choose YouTube.

Log in with your student.beehiveacademy account.

Allow any permissions it asks for.

Title is "Beehive Academy STEM:____(Title of your project)__

For example: "Beehive Academy STEM: Strawberry DNA Extraction"

video quality (1050p) Choose the HIGHEST available

Video should be PUBLIC

Category should be EDUCATION

Touch "Share" or "Publish" in the top, right corner and wait.

If your video uploads successfully it should open a window that will allow you to "Tell a Friend"

Select this option and use google to send the email it opens to your science teacher.

IF THIS UPLOAD FAILS AS WELL,

Use Google Drive to upload your video from a computer.

  • Save the video to your Google Drive,
  • Download the video from Google Drive to a computer
  • Sign in to YouTube (at home or in the school library) and drag and drop the downloaded video into your YouTube channel.

You can get permission from your teachers in the morning to go get help from Mrs. Pierce in the library, or go to STEM help club after school Tuesday or Thursday in Mr. Akk's room.
