Do your project and make your video of it working.
1. As soon as you have your materials, prepare to demonstrate.
Do the demonstration to make sure you can make it work the way you think it should. If you have trouble, try doing more research to see if you can find a solution. You can also reach out to Mrs. Upenieks or Mrs. Pierce if you discover you need help. Don’t wait until the last minute.
If you are engineering or building something to demonstrate with, get it put together so that you can take some video of it working. REMEMBER: This is not a how-to video so you do not have to show details of how to put it together. You can put links to how-to videos you used in your website later if you like.
If you are doing something that takes a long time to happen, such as color changing flowers, or growing crystals, take photos of it at various stages of change to use in your video. You can also try taking time-lapse video.
REMEMBER: Short clips of video can be edited together using iMovie later.
2. Take some video of your demonstration working using your iPad.
Remember that audio can be added later in iMovie as voice-over if necessary. Instructions for writing a script for the video can be found here: WRITE A SCRIPT
Video REQUIREMENTS:
Take the video widescreen (Landscape) -- there should be no black lines to the sides of your finished video.
Wear your Beehive Uniform.
Use the REAR camera on your iPad, it has much better resolution
We will be sharing these videos in class so you can practice explaining the science to others, and get feedback on your demonstration before you finalize your video to upload it.
3. Edit your video together using iMovie. HOW TO USE iMovie link here
