TO CHECK OUT A PROJECT:
You will need the BARCODES for your desired project(s) to check them out. Look up and write down the BARCODES for any projects you might want the linked sheets here:
Barcodes for Middle School Projects
Barcodes for High School Projects
or use the printed lists in your Science Teacher's room
Open the BSTALibrary WebApp and in the top right corner tap Guest and Log in Via SSO (this is your Clever log in). If you are logged in you should see your name.
Once logged in you should see a circle with a hand in to the left of your name. This is the self-check out icon. Tap the hand.
Tap the blue CHECK-OUT button and enter the BARCODE for your desired project and PRESS RETURN(Enter) on your keyboard. (Pressing RETURN is important!)
Once you have checked out a project, you can see it again by tapping your name, and tapping "My Borrowing Details" in the Library WebApp.
To change projects you will have to contact Mrs. Pierce, so be sure you get the barcode RIGHT the first time.
PARENTS: You should be able to go to the library website and see the projects as a GUEST user. Each project consists of a brief description and one or more website links. Visit the links to get an idea of what each project would look like. Students are expected to learn to do a demonstation and sometimes they must build/engineer something. In both cases they are expected to do research on it and be able to explain why the demonstration happens and/or why the thing they built works.
If you have your own idea for a project, or you don't see the project you want to do, please contact Mrs. Pierce with a description of what you want to do, (include a video link if possible) and the STEM principles involved.
You can also come see Mrs. Pierce in room 232 during lunch and discuss your idea.
Not all the old projects have made it into the library catalog yet so if you see one that got dropped come let us know!
