Investigate the World: Poses a specific researchable question on a local, regional, and/or global issue, and explains its significance to the global community.
In Mr. Amedeo’s class for CCP Poly-Sci, we have to write a final term paper to make a law and see how it will go through the government for it to be an actual law and what possible conflicts could arise. I think that this assignment connects to the ISSN goal of Investigating the World. It ties into the goal because I had to research problems that are arising in the US and decide what a good law would be to make. I chose the topic of renewable energy sources. We are going to need to find these sources because a lot of the things we use for energy will run out eventually.
In reflection on this assignment, I don’t think I can fully reflect because it’s not fully done and it’s due May 6th. But I wish I had chosen a different law to make like putting an age cap on who can be president and run for Congress because we had a debate on the presidential candidates. We all came to the same endpoint in saying that Trump and Biden alike are honestly too old to be running for president because if we watch any news recently they both struggle on stage. I partially think it’s because of their age while Nikki Haley who was against Trump was at least younger than 60, unlike Biden and Trump who are both in their 70s. But since I have the majority of my paper done and it’s due so soon I won’t be changing it
