Blood, Bones, Swarms & Stones
Dungeons 'n' Dragons Stream
Collaborating with the talented Twitch streamer LuneBetch, I designed the main cast as well as the main villain's character sprites for the “Blood Bones, Swarms, and Stones” D&D live play stream.
For Blood Bones, Swarms, and Stones, I developed a cohesive visual style by first establishing a base design. This foundation ensured consistent proportions and style across all character designs. Despite variations in hair, facial features, and body shapes, the designs maintain uniformity in line thickness and shading techniques, ensuring a harmonious look for the main cast, side characters, and villains.
Throughout the design process, I collaborated closely with both the players and LuneBetch, the DM, to capture the desired tone and bring each character to life. This one-on-one interaction allowed for personalized designs that faithfully represented each player's vision while integrating seamlessly into the campaign's overall aesthetic.

Some characters needed multiple forms. For instance, Coda, being a lycanthrope, required three distinct sprites to represent his various transformations. Similarly, Honey Hills, an Eldarin, necessitated four forms, though only two have been featured in the campaign so far.
For the villains, I maintained a cohesive visual style by starting with a foundational base design. This approach mirrored the process used for the main cast, ensuring consistency across the campaign's visual elements.
Just as the original characters were designed with dominant hues, such as Coda’s yellow and Trent’s pink, the villains also adhered to a color-centric approach. However, for the villains, I emphasized more pronounced differences in colour schemes to highlight their distinctiveness and enhance their visual impact.
