What: The Career Exploration Fair is a half day event that all Senior students and staff attend. Community partners will be set up in stations. Each station will be aligned to a specific type of hiring.

All partners will be conducting interviews with students. Depending on the community partners hiring needs these interviews will both serve as a way for students to practice their interviewing skills and potentially be a first-round interview that could lead to future interviews and students being hired. Students are expected to complete a passport demonstrating they interviewed with 4 community partners. 

Goals:

• Provide students with the opportunity to have an exploratory interview with community partners hiring  for full and part time positions requiring only a high school degree

• Provide students with the opportunity to have an exploratory interview and career guidance with community partners whose positions require a college degree

• Provide students with the opportunity to have an exploratory interview and career guidance with post-secondary partners

Passport

During the Senior Job Fair you will be given a passport to fill out. 

• Sit down at four different organizations and complete an interview

• For each interview...

  • Write the name of the company you interviewed with

  • Take interview notes and write down next steps

  • Tape business card in indicated slot

• At the end of the Fair, turn in your completed passport to the bin located near the exit.
