Freshman Academy

Welcome to the Freshman Academy!

BCCHS Freshman Academy offers a special, smaller learning environment to help students make a smooth transition into high school, to bond with each other as a community and to begin their journey in the Career Academies.

In Freshman Academy, students receive instruction through a core team of teachers who share students to provide supports for student achievement. A Career Exploration Fair, Career Panels, college visits and special guest speakers throughout the year lead freshmen on a journey of exploration to help them discover their interests. In the spring, Freshman Academy students declare a pathway, selecting their academy for grades 10-12.
