College Visits

• Every 9th grader at BCCHS will have the opportunity to go on two different 9th grade college visits.

• The first visit will be a half-day trip to Kellogg Community College. The goal of the KCC visit is for students to gain an understanding of the opportunities available within Battle Creek at Kellogg Community College connected to their future pathways (Legacy Scholarship, Early-Middle College, Dual-Enrollment, etc).

• The second visit will be a full day field trip to a four-year college. Each pathway will have the opportunity to go on one 4-year college visit. The goal of the four year visit is to provide students an opportunity to visit a 4-year college campus and understand the social and academic opportunities are available to them at that specific college.

• Both visits aim to help students understand which post-secondary academic paths are available within their chosen career pathways.
