Employees hired to work at least 30 hours per week. 

Provides income protection by paying 90% of your wages after you have been absent for 90 days or more due to a qualifying injury or illness. 

100% District-paid — there is no cost to employees for this coverage. 

Coverage begins automatically for employees who are regularly scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week. The benefit becomes payable after 90 consecutive days of absence due to a qualifying illness or injury. 

LTD pays 90% of your wages after the 90-day waiting period has been met, as long as you remain medically unable to work. 

LTD coverage applies to absences caused by a non-work-related illness or injury that prevents you from performing your job duties. (Work-related injuries are handled through Worker’s Compensation.)
