Students on Short Term Independent Study are responsible to learn everything covered in class. You will know what was covered in class by referring to the class calendar, Vista PRIME (Senderos), Google Classroom, and PowerSchool.
Each day you are out, start with the class calendar. The topics on the calendar refer to units and lesson in the textbook. You can find the corresponding textbook pages, explanation videos, and other helpful resources on this website. Simply use them menu to the left/top.
Make sure you do all work assigned on the Vista PRIME (Senderos) on-line system.
Then look for assignments daily on Google Classroom and complete them within the designated due dates.
Check PowerSchool daily for assignments you're missing during your STIS and complete them.
Complete all assessments, including oral assessments when you return. Note that you will receive a zero in the gradebook until you complete these. Alternatively, before the end of the first day of your STIS, you may request alternative assessments. Typically alternative assessments will be done via Google Meet during the teacher's lunch time.
