For each day you're absent, you can make up engagement points by completing this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdNq3Qbcaauc-3xKiqpvqS1bbFewbtVPnovZwTLitSy-qC0Gg/viewform?usp=sf_link (if you are unable to fill out this form on the day of your absence, please talk to me). Make up enagement points are accepted for a period of two days after return to the class. If you wait longer than that, you may not get credit.
Complete your exit ticket(s). The link is on the Google Classroom daily stream.
If you are able to do your assignments on time and meet the deadlines, great! If you will be turning in late work because you have an excused absence (illness/medical appointment, court date, school activity), and were not able to get your work done on time, please fill come talk to me during the individual práctica time towards the end of each period.
Typically, late práctica is reduced by 30% when it's turned in after the due date/time. If you are able to do your assignments on time and meet the deadlines, great! If you will be turning in late work because you have an excused absence (illness/medical appointment, court date, school activity), and were not able to get your work done on time, please come talk to me during the individual practice time at the end of the period, after you have completed the work.
Please note that in the case of excused absences, you have 1 day to complete your work for each day missed with an excused absence.
Because assignments cover two days and can be turned in digitally, they are generally due at the assigned time regardless of if you are absent. Please use the private comments section to communicate any special circumstances for consideration.
Read all of the information here carefully: https://sites.google.com/avhsd.org/spanish/absence!
Students on STIS, because work is digital, you need to follow the assigned timelines on Google Classroom, Vista Senderos PRIME, and the class Calendar. If this does not work for you because of your circumstances, you must email me before your first due date and make arrangements to turn in your work when you return.
Remember that Google Classroom is a bookmark of your assignments as a courtesy reminder. The practica work is on the VISTA Senderos PRIME site: Always check for assignments there! ALWAYS mark "STIS" in the private comments on each assignment in Google Classroom.
For assessments (tests, quizzes, oral assessments), you may either make up your assessments upon return or you may request a special assessment during STIS. See the class calendar for assessment dates. You must make this decision at the beginning of your STIS and email me your request. If you do not do so, you will need to make up your regular assessments upon return. Alternative Assessments generally involve you participating in a scheduled Google Meets for oral assessments at 8:00am and essay quizzes rather than Chromebook quizzes.
NOTE: Late up work submitted during the last two weeks of each semester, including with homework passes, will be subject to an "if there is time to grade it" policy in addition to the regular late work policies. You may not receive credit for late work submited the last two weeks of each semester. Do not procrastinate.
