Engagement Points are points given to measure the extent a student engages in class. Throughout the period, points are given to everyone who is engaged in the assigned activity at that moment. A student's engagement score is a percent of how often they are engaged at those times. The "in progress" percent is shared with students and parents every Friday, although the final grade isn't entered into PowerSchool until the end of the 10 day lesson.
Additionally, students can earn extra engagement points (extra credit or make up for missing points) by volunteering for certain activities or winning practice games in class.
Finally, students can make up engagement points that were missed due to an absence by requesting "práctica por puntos" during individual practice time during class or during our "catch-up" days.
