Hello Albany Middle School 8th Graders,
We are so excited about the journey of exploration and learning that we will be embarking on together. Hopefully, our class will be a place where you will be put into situations to:

* Do more than you thought you could

* Persevere through frustration
* Learn from mistakes
* See mistakes as a natural and necessary part of the learning journey
* Discover your own great potential as mathematician
* Learn for learning's sake (not for grades, parents, college, or anything else)
In this class, we value taking intellectual risks, we value struggle, and we value mistakes. We consider all three as essential components to the growth process. So make yourself a commitment fearlessly put yourself out there as an 8th grade mathematician and let's have a great learning year together!
