Adam Wilk: A Dominant Force
Adam Wilk, a standout pitcher and hitter for Cypress High School, led the Centurions to their first-ever CIF baseball title in 2005. His dominant performances on the mound and at the plate earned him the prestigious CIF-SS Division 2 Player of the Year award.
Wilk's exceptional athleticism and work ethic propelled him to stardom. He boasted a remarkable 23-3 record with a 1.50 ERA and 235 strikeouts during his high school career. His offensive prowess was equally impressive, as he batted .410 with 15 stolen bases.
Wilk's impact on Cypress High School's baseball program is undeniable. His leadership, skill, and dedication to the game inspired his teammates and left a lasting legacy.
High School: Three-year letterman at Cypress High School ... Went 23-3 with a 1.50 ERA with 235 strikeouts, while batting .410 with 15 steals... as a senior went 13-1 with a 1.17 ERA with 118 strikeouts, while batting .412, while in 2005, went 10-2 with a 1.62 ERA, batting .408... named the Empire League's MVP and first team all-state honors for the second-straight season... also a two-time all-league and all-county pick... named the 2005 Division-II Player of the Year... all-academic team.
Personal: Son of Deborah Wilk, a graduate of Long Beach State... cousin, Andrew Fleming plays basketball on the men's team at LBSU... majoring in criminal justice.
