Safety Reminder: There is no parking on the north side of Oravetz Place during drop-off and pick-up times. School busses can't get by safely with cars parked on both sides of the streets. You are encourages to park on the south side or in the main parking lot.

Principal's Message

September was a great month. We love seeing your student's smiling faces in our hallways and we are looking forward to a year full of learning. The past month we have focused on reteaching expectations, practicing our routines, completing our diagnostic assessments, and getting to know our new classmates. You may have noticed that we have started sending a weekly message called the "Weekly Woof!" The goal of this message is to provide you with timely information about the events for the upcoming week. We have also added an instagram page to our social media profile.

School Picture Day 

We will be taking individual school pictures on Wednesday October 5th. Paper order forms should have come home with each child. If you can’t find the order form you can also order online by clicking here: SCHOOL PICTURE ORDERS

Weather and Recess 

We know our students need fresh air and physical activity every day! Students have two recess each day for a total of 45 minutes. We plan to send students out to recess most every day, even in the rain. As the weather changes please send your child in clothing that is most appropriate for the weather that day. If you are in need of support with appropriate shoes or jackets for recess please reach our to our school counselor, or our front office team. 

We need YOU to come and play with us! 

We love to have our community members volunteer at our school. We could especially use volunteers for supporting our Recess times. Do you like playing basketball or soccer? Do you miss doing flips on the bars or jumping rope? Come and Play with us at Recess! All volunteers must complete a background check and be on file with the district. Second Step - Social Emotional Education 

Each week students receive lessons from our "Second Step" program. These lessons support students with self-management, study skills, and skills for getting along well with others.

Septiembre fue un gran mes. Nos encanta ver las caras sonrientes de sus hijos en los pasillos y esperamos un año lleno de aprendizaje. El mes pasado nos hemos centrado en volver a enseñar las expectativas, practicar nuestras rutinas, completar nuestras evaluaciones de diagnóstico y conocer a nuestros nuevos compañeros de clase. Clima y recreo 

¡Sabemos que nuestros estudiantes necesitan aire fresco y actividad física todos los días! Los estudiantes tienen dos recreos cada día por un total de 45 minutos. Planeamos enviar a los estudiantes al recreo casi todos los días, incluso bajo la lluvia. A medida que cambia el clima, envíe a su hijo con la ropa más apropiada para el clima de ese día. Si necesita apoyo con zapatos o chaquetas apropiados para el recreo, comuníquese con nuestro consejero escolar o nuestro equipo de recepción. 

¡Necesitamos que vengas a jugar con nosotros! 

Nos encanta que los miembros de nuestra comunidad sean voluntarios en nuestra escuela. Especialmente podríamos usar voluntarios para apoyar nuestros tiempos de recreo. ¿Te gusta jugar baloncesto o fútbol? ¿Echas de menos hacer piruetas en las barras o saltar a la comba? ¡Ven y juega con nosotros en Recess! Todos los voluntarios deben completar una verificación de antecedentes y estar registrados en el distrito.
