Welcome Back Huskies
Dear Ilalko Families,
It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you back to school for the 2022-2023 school year. We hope that your family had time to rest and recharge. We have been doing all the usual work to prepare for a fabulous school year. We look forward to seeing your family at our Ilalko Family Night event on September 1st, 2022.
First Day of School Grades 1 - 5

First Day of Kindergarten is Friday, September 9th
Each child will receive a letter from their teacher prior to the start of school. You can also find your child’s teacher through Skyward Family Access. Family Access is a web-based program that gives families access to attendance, grades, lunch balances and more. Through Skylert in Family Access, families can specify which phone message to receive and sign up for text messages. We will also use Remind.com to communicate with families. If you need support with accessing Skyward, Skylert, or Remind, our office team is here to assist you.
Below you will find the additional information you need to start the school year successfully. Be sure to review our Family Handbook as well as reading about the new Staff members joining our team this year.

Class Placements
We are in the process of placing students into classes for the fall. Some placements may shift due to changes in our student enrollment. You can check skyward to see learn who your child's teacher will be and we will notify you when class lists have been posted. We have amazing teachers at Ilalko, you can click the links below to learn more about your child's teacher!
School Supplies
Beginning in the fall of 2022, the ASD will provide all required school supplies to all students. Harnessing the power of buying in bulk, the ASD is providing pencils, notebooks, pens, earbuds, erasers, crayons and much more. Grade-specific school supplies will be distributed during the first week of school and will be replenished throughout the school year. Schools will have supplies for new students who enroll during the school year.
The district made this change as part of its strategy to put equity into action. For some families, purchasing school supplies put a strain on the family budget. This shift provides each student with the correct school supplies for learning and removes the burden for families to buy them.
If students want to bring supplies, they will be allowed, but every basic school supply will be provided. Click here to see what supplies will be provided.
