Goal: To better address the district need of providing effective, individualized and timely professional development, the ITLC will build, on the school website, a professional library to include a wide range of materials/sites/paid licenses to meet unique needs of teachers and students. This will include district based support videos for staff.
This goal will be considered met if the ITLC is able to curate a digital, professional grouping of learning materials. These materials would support technology integration within the K-12 classrooms, inspire staff in adopting new technologies/pedagogies, and materials to support a variety of learners within the classroom.
Professional learning will continue to take shape based on district, state, and national initiatives. The ITLC will continue to seek out a variety of means to engage staff in professional development, gauge the efficacy of the development, and encourage other staff members to share their own expertise.
This goal can be considered met. The district now has a place on the website for teachers to find technology information, plus it is being added on to as needed.
Goal: To address this area of need in the school year 2019-2020, the ITLC would be to make better use of the district newsletter, the district website, the district Facebook to reach out with tips, tools, and ideas for reading, digital citizenship, and miscellaneous technology items. These outreach efforts would not only inform the community of key resources and ideas but also build an essential relationship to support our students in open and transparent communication to all.
This goal would be considered met if the ITLC is able to produce articles for the district newsletter (3 times a school year-fall, winter, spring) and district website at least five times during the school year of 2019-2020.
This goal can be considered met. The library in all three schools is featured on our website and our Facebook. The information is open and transparent for all.
