Choose one skill students will need for the upcoming task:
active listening
asking for clarification
building on another person's idea
giving feedback
disagreeing respectfully
asking for help
sharing responsibility
Briefly name and model what the skill can look or sound like.
For example:
Building on ideas
“I'd like to add to what you said…”
“That connects with…”
“What if we combined those ideas?”
Ask students to intentionally practice that skill during the next collaborative task.

Where did you notice yourself or someone else using the skill? What difference did it make?
