Best for: Teams that will work together across multiple classes or on a longer project.
Rather than giving students a list of rules, ask teams to develop agreements around:
Communication — How will we communicate with one another?
Participation — How will we make space for everyone's contribution?
Responsibility — What will we do when someone needs help or cannot complete something?
Decision-making — How will we make decisions when we disagree?
Conflict — How do we want to address problems when they arise?
Keep the agreements accessible and revisit them, especially when the team encounters difficulty.
Reflect:
Which agreements are helping us? What needs to change?
