Place students in groups of 3–4.
Ask each group to identify:
Three things everyone in the group has in common. Encourage students to move beyond obvious similarities such as being in the same class.
One experience, interest, perspective, or strength that is unique to each person.
Invite groups to share one discovery with the class if they are comfortable doing so.

What did you learn about someone that you probably would not have learned during a typical class conversation?
