5th and 6th Grade Team

On the 5th and 6th grade team students designed and built a fetchbot. The design brief was that in groups of 2, students design and build a device that when a ping pong ball is placed inside of it, the ball is autonomously thrown at least 30 inches. Students used a sensor to start their device and looped their code so that each time a ping pong ball was placed inside the fetchbot, the ball would be thrown.

Next, students designed and built a dragster. The only requirements were that the dragster go as straight and as fast as possible. The team applied their knowledge of gears to make their dragsters go faster. The team then raced their dragsters to see which one was faster.
