Walk and Talk

Go for a walk and chat with a friend or family member. Try to walk fast enough to make your heart pump a little faster and your breath quicker.

Daily Mile

Run or walk for 1 mile. This is about the same as jogging for 10-15 minutes, or walking for 15-20 minutes.

Fitness Circuit

Make a fitness circuit in your garden.

Try to make the activities varied: throwing, jumping, running, ball skills etc.

Complete your circuit, spending about 3 minutes at each activity.

Dance Routine

Make up a dance routine to a song you like. You could try some literacy dance moves by listening to the lyrics of the song (a bit like our Comic Relief dances!).

Teach your routine to a friend of family member.

Target Practice

Make a target and place it on the floor or against a wall. Can you hit the target? You could try kicking, throwing and bouncing a ball. How many times can you hit the target in 1 minute? Can you improve on your score?

Stair Challenge

Set a timer for 5 minutes. How many times can you walk or run up and down a flight of stairs in 5 minutes?

See if you can beat your record each week.


Yoga

Yoga is great for the body and the mind! Try to work through the yoga poses attached. Remember to breathe deeply as you hold each pose.
