Illustrate and Predict

Find a picture in your favourite story book and copy it or create a picture of ‘what happened next’.

Be an Author

Write a short story to read to someone in your family. Give your story a title and illustrate it. Create a front cover and blurb with you as the author.

Listening and Talking

Phone, facetime or chat to a friend or family member. Tell them all your news and ask them how they are. Remember to listen carefully to their ideas and ask them relevant questions.

Acrostic Poem

Write an acrostic poem about some of your happy memories. Start each line with the letters of 'MEMORIES' You could use the template here.

Amazing Adjectives

Go and find something you think is beautiful outside. Draw a picture of it and write down 10 adjectives to describe it. What does it look like? feel like? smell like? etc.

Board Game Fun

Make up your own board game to play at home. Write a set of instructions and teach others at home to play it. Remember to make the rules fair!

Chat and a Snack

Make a snack menu and offer a snack to someone at home. Make them the snack and drink they choose. Ask them tell you a story and ask them some questions.

Puppet Show

Make puppets from paper or socks of the characters from your favourite story. Retell the story to someone at home.
