This course is focused on developing manufacturing skills when working with timber and metal.
It is a practical workshop based course where you will develop skills in designing project ideas using Google Sketch-Up, a Computer Aided Design drawing program. You will then make your designs either out of timber or metal. Your processes of manufacture will be recorded in a simple design folio.
You will be guided in how to use tools and machinery to create a variety of quality projects, in a safe manner which are ideal transferable skills for future work placements.
Project ideas include a knick knack box, Carry-all and dustpan as starters.
