Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies provides students with the opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal Peoples, histories and cultures.
The course is designed to be inclusive of all students and be of value to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and non-Aboriginal students.
Record of School Achievement
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies is a 100 or 200 hour school developed elective. This course will not appear on the RoSA, it will be reported on the school Semester One and Semester Two reports using the Common Grade Scale.

Students will develop ethical research skills and recognise the importance of applying community consultation protocols including in relation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and intellectual property. In their research, Students develop understanding and experience of a variety of appropriate information and communication technologies. In these ways students can become active and informed advocates for a just and inclusive society.
