Making Art welcomes students to a creative space where they can create artworks from mediums such as photography, ceramics, printing, drawing, painting. It is complementary to the NESA Board Developed Stage 5 100 hours Visual Arts Course and Stage 6 Visual Arts Course.
Record of School Achievement
Making Art is a 100 or 200 hour school developed elective. This course will not appear on the RoSA, it will be reported on the school semester one and semester two reports using the Common Grade Scale.
Students will develop skills to take an idea and turn that idea into an artwork.
Students will :
· Think it (come up with an idea)
· Design it (solving a problem/invent)
· Make it (be an artist and create it)
Design and making artworks in all sorts of materials and mediums. Be inspired by what other artists have done in the past and look at artists making art right now.
Students will have the opportunity to choose and work within the following mediums:
· Drawing
· Ceramics
· Sculpture
· Jewellery
· Printing
· Digital Photography
· Painting
· Graffiti Art
· Public Art
