I create and act in patient simulations to teach University level nursing students how to interact with patients every week. Simulation with patient actors is crucial for BSN nursing students as it provides them with a realistic environment to apply their theoretical knowledge in clinical scenarios. Interacting with patient actors allows students to develop critical thinking skills, communication abilities, and empathy, all essential for effective patient care. Through simulated experiences, students can make mistakes, receive feedback, and enhance their confidence before entering real clinical settings, ultimately improving the quality of care they provide.
Miller South helped me be a well rounded adult and appreciate the arts. I also gained great experience with the exposure to theater I recieved that ended up helping my career.
