I do visual analysis of social media data that includes my art history knowledge. I’ve also been commissioned to do illustrations in an academic book Hope and Honor: Jewish Resistance During the Holocaust and a popular press book revisiting Roman myths through a feminist lens
Miller South was a phenomenal experience for me. I met so many wonderful, creative, and authentic people at Miller South. I learned how to view the world with creativity and curiosity. I use the arts in my teaching often. Miller South taught me that learning can be creative and engaging. You can use music and sculpture to learn about ancient cultures. Chemistry can be taught through murals and dance. You can have a rigorous and challenging curriculum without undue pressure and stress and produce amazing learning outcomes
