I went on to earn my BA and MA in art history. I have managed private art collections and worked in art galleries and museums throughout my career. I have been the Art & Music program manager at Montage Health in Monterey, CA since 2022. In that role I oversee a 9,000 object art collection and curate art throughout the medical facilities. I also oversee a community music and therapeutic music program. Our art and music program engages patients, staff and community in Monterey. We are a nonprofit healthcare system and our art and music programs are endowment funded. We believe the arts are integral to wellbeing and healing!
Miller South laid the groundwork for my life. I am a passionate artist and creator, but I also have applied that passion to my career. I often think of the impact of my Miller South education. Because of it I am able to work in a career that connects people to art every day. I am also a new board member at the Youth Arts Collective, an afterschool art program in Monterey. I was inspired by my time at Miller South to help other middle and high school students have access to the arts.
