DRAW Category: Storytelling (30 minutes prep/4-6 minutes presentation)
Student will retell the story from the book using his/her own words and interpretation/style

Student is to remain formal (with an animated nature)
Entire delivery – including introduction – should be without script or notes
Use a conversational narration style (a fun, engaging, storytelling mood)
Characters may be exaggerated to convey meaning
Movement is freely liberal and appropriate to the story
Goal is to bring the story to life and make the lesson clear at the end
At the meet:
Student reports at scheduled time to draw 3 selections and chooses 1 to perform
Student must staple the chosen draw slip indicating title to the Critique Form
Student has 30 minutes to prepare.

Go people watching and look for people who talk/move like your character
