Categories and Guidelines

There are several different categories to choose from. During the speech season you will choose ONE PIECE from one of the categories listed below to perform at all 4 meets (unless you choose Extemporaneous Prose or Storytelling). Some categories involve writing your own piece, some involve using an excerpt from a published work like a book, poem, play, or movie. Speech Meet Categories

Interpretation (5-8 minutes)
