Russell Thornhill is a mentor for the next generation of Black leaders and professors. He's an ordained minister who identifies as a Black, gay father and grandfather. He earned an MA in Organizational Management from AULA, and an MA in Religious Studies from the Claremont School of Theology. He is the director of the Business and Management Studies concentration in the AULA UGS Program, and is Co-Director of the AULA Bridge Program.
Cynthia Ruffin (she/her/hers) currently serves as the Director for COLORS LGBTQ Youth Counseling Services, which provides free and unlimited mental health services to LGBTQ+ identified youth and their families and partners. Cynthia received her BA in Liberal Studies at AULA and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Non-Profit Management. Cynthia’s life has been dedicated to the non-profit sector and, over the years, has worked with communities ranging from incarcerated youth to individuals experiencing homelessness, drug addiction, and engaging in survival sex. BA in Liberal Arts AULA 2013. Master in NonProfit Management 2021. London Jones (she/her) received her BA in Liberal Studies and is currently completing her Masters in Nonprofit Management at Antioch University Los Angeles. She has dedicated over a decade to the nonprofit sector and has worked on a wide array of issues including youth incarceration, mental health access, and generational poverty. London currently serves as Interim Associate Director for ProjectQ, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that provides affirming services for LGBTQIA+ homeless youth.
