Melissa A. Kirk is the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs and Vice-Chair of the Anti-Racism Task Force. As a higher education leader with over 20 years of experience, she is near completion of an Ed.D. in Higher Ed Policy at UMinn. Her dissertation explores the development of intercultural competence in a sample of first-generation community college students enrolled in a first-year seminar course.
Dr. Sylvie Taylor joined the Core Faculty of the MA in Clinical Psychology Program (MAP) at AULA in the Fall of 2000. She is the founding Director of the Applied Community Psychology Specialization and has throughout her professional career worked with marginalized groups in both academic and community settings. She has consulted with over 50 academic programs in psychology and related fields focusing on curriculum diversification and inclusive pedagogical practices. She is the 2008 recipient of the Outstanding Educator Award from the Society for Community Research and Action (Division 27 of the American Psychological Association).
