Completing a 4-year plan can be an important step in high school course planning regardless if the plan includes fully homeschooling, dual enrollment or fully enrolling in a public high school.
Make your own 4-year plan here. Use it as a guide only, keep in mind that this is what is required if you were a full-time AHS student working towards an AHS diploma. There are no minimum requirements to complete as a homeschool graduate. However, if you are continuing on to higher education, you may want to complete a course load similar to what is outlined for a typical high school diploma.
Here is an example of a completed AHS plan for students who are attending full-time at AHS.
CONSIDERATIONS WHEN CREATING THE 4-YEAR PLAN:
1) Attending College? Consider the IOWA REGENT COLLEGE REQUIREMENTS.
2) THE AHS SCHEDULE .
3) HSAP COURSE OFFERINGS
4) Will you want your student to take DMACC or ISU courses? What about CAREER ACADEMIES?
5) Are there experiences such as job shadowing/internships you want to leave room for your student to explore?
