Seabin Project

The Seabin Project originated in Australia in 2015 to help reduce pollution in the ocean. The Seabin Project develops a current to which floating pollution is drawn to. This project helps save wildlife and creates a cleaner and overall healthier environment. Trash collection is run by volunteers. Volunteers then go around and collect bins and recycle the waste. There are 860 Seabins around the world and the total waste captured is 1,775,141 kg to date. The amount of waste captured each day is about 3,612.8 kg. Their mission statement is to live in a world without the need for Seabins.
