The humble beginnings to this year's nest! A new and unbanded female is currently inhabiting it.
DATE: May 27th
The first egg out of 7 was laid! These eggs usually weigh 1.8 grams.
DATE: June 3rd
A full clutch of 7 eggs was laid and the mom is now incubating! Her incubation period can last from 11 to 20 days.
DATE: June 16
Both parents were newly banded on the 16th! This either means that we haven't caught them before or they're new to Creamers.
DATE: June 26
The chicks are now 11 days old! Their average fledge date is 18 to 22 days old, which is when they'll leave their box for good, though some may return to Creamers next year!
