Welcome from the AISJ Technology Office. We are looking forward to you joining AISJ, and excited to meet you in person.
The links in this section provide information to help new staff and faculty transition smoothly to the technology systems in use at AISJ, and provide a set of 'quick links' to the essential information most new staff will need.
AISJ Username and Email Address:
You should have received an email in your personal email account, listing your AISJ network account username, email address, and temporary password.
You will need this information to log into the various systems listed below.
Please email the Tech Office (ticketing@aisj-jhb.com) if you have not received your AISJ account details.
AISJ systems and accounts:
Click this link for a General Intro to the AISJ systems and accounts. Bookmark the General Intro link in your browser.
The password above is temporary until you arrive at AISJ, and will allow you to access various AISJ resources. When you arrive at AISJ in July we will help you reset your password. Maintaining this temporary password until you arrive at AISJ will allow us to setup your AISJ assigned laptop and have it ready for you on arrival.
If you prefer to change your password before arriving at AISJ in July, please contact Andre (andre@aisj-jhb.com), and he will contact you. If you change your password, please note that the Tech team will then need to reset it back to your temp password about a week before you get to AISJ in order to set up your laptop.
Log in to your AISJ Google Chrome Profile
AISJ is a ‘Google School’. Google Workspace is our core productivity suite, and at the core of all we do. Accessing Google Workspace tools such as Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar is so much easier when using Google Chrome. Creating a Chrome Profile for your AISJ account gives you ready access to all the Google apps.
If you are using an Apple Mac:
Launch Google Chrome, click the Profiles menu and select Add Profile. Click the Sign In button to set up your new Chrome profile, and enter your AISJ account email address and password.
If you are using a Windows PC:
Launch Google Chrome, click the Chrome Profile icon at the top right of the Chrome window.
A menu will open, click on ‘Add’ (at the bottom of the window)
Follow the onscreen instructions to add a new Chrome Profile using your AISJ email address and password.
You can keep more than one profile in Chrome. You can have an AISJ Chrome Profile and a personal Chrome Profile if you have a personal Google account. You can quickly flip between the two profiles through separate Chrome windows.
We strongly recommend you keep communications, emails, files and activities related to your AISJ identity separate from communications, emails, files and activities related to your personal identity. Separate Chrome profiles are a way to efficiently achieve this. With your move to South Africa, maintain existing accounts and communications with your personal email and drives. Link new online accounts, shipping, bank and mobile phone communications, personal emails, even emails and communications from AISJ to you as a parent, to your personal email account and storage drive.
